frïggïnwåtër is an art-as-product project of EJ Meissner - artist, businessperson & Internet entrepreneur.
EJ’s most famous works of art were 2 of the World’s smallest fully functional violins, which not only made local Seattle headlines, but also hit newspapers across the USA, and included a radio interview on NPR’s “All Things Considered” program.
See article and newspaper clippings.
The idea behind this project came from a conversation EJ had with a friend’s son about bottled water, noting there were 100s of different “styles” from dozens of different countries, costing from 50¢ to several dollars each, even as much as $10 for “designer labels” - but, as EJ put it, “They’re all just friggin water!”
Bingo!
Why not take the idea of a product as ubiquitous as water and turn it into an art form?
Andy Warhol took the step from ubiquitous product (such as cans of soup) to art. EJ takes the next logical step - from art to ubiquitous product.
Thus is born frïggïnwåtër - Bottled Water As Art!
Each bottle’s “style” will be based on observations of life, news and events from around the World, and particularly from the USA. Let’s face it, the greatness of the USA stems from the diversity of our people and ideas. EJ fully intends to have fun with that.
Each design and “story-line” is an EJ original - though we may have some guest artists from time to time.
We hope you enjoy our bizarre take on the World as much as we do.
Cheers!
